I might make it. To Christmas that is. Two pairs of socks are done:
Monkeys by Cookie A out of Trekking Handart in Tundra for Mens size 12 feet. (Yes I’m a bit of a masochist. Why do you ask?)
Kew Socks from Knitty Winter 2006 in Handmaiden Casbah Forest for Women’s Size 10. (Refer to comment above.)
I’ve casted on 2 of the remaining 4 pairs I need to knit. Yes, I blissfully miscounted and have one less pair to knit than I thought. So I just might get all the Christmas socks done. Who knows about the scarf.
However, one of the current pairs is cabled socks for my father who also has size 12 feet. I just finished the leg of the first sock and about ready to poke my eyes out with my cable needle. I must have been snorting crack when I got the brilliant idea to knit Dad cabled socks for Christmas! And I still have the black Regia Silk socks I’m knitting for hubby (also size 12) that he will like and wear and will like that he likes them. He will learn to like handknitted socks if he knows what is good for him!
I am resisting the siren call of the three sweaters I want to cast on NOW, the gazillion intricate lace shawls that whisper sweet nothings in my ear with every stitch I dutifully knit on these socks. As the Knitting Goddess as my witness, I will knit not a single sock for Christmas Break!
Oh and did I mention work is sucking my soul again? Does anyone know a way to earn decent money to knit all day long?

Oh isn’t hard to resist the call of new things to cast on. I’m feeling that right now, but Christmas knitting awaits. And your socks are fabulous. great colours, great matching with patterns.
Damn those men with big feet!
Gorgeous, gorgeous socks! mmmmm!j
I just got a whole mess of yarn and pattern books from my Step-mom, YUMMY! She is moving to Hawaii next year and can’t take them with her. Lucky for me!
Hope you finish your socks, and I am sure everyone will love them.
At least now we know why you havening posted in a while.
SOCKS!
