I have not blogged for a really long time. I promised Deniasha that I would be a good girl and blog when she allowed me to be a poster, but i have not lived up to my part of the bargain. I would like to say I was too busy, but I am sure if I had been dedicated, I would have found the time. My hope for next year is to make that time.
I have some exciting news of a project I am working on next year. I can not share all of the details since I am working on this project in conjunction with someone else, but I right now I am almost ansty with the need to talk about the thrill this idea is giving me.
As some of you may remember I am a professional baker. I get to make desserts for some fancy events and even for everyday use at work. I even get to test these desserts on people. Over the last couple of years I have been able to create some desserts that have passed the test of people liking them.
I also love to spin. I love the feel of the fibers. I love feeling new fibers and I love learning about new fibers. I was never a very dedicated knitter and really only bought yarn because I loved the colors or the feel of it. Spinning lets me make yarn for my mother or my sister and to not feel guilty about not knitting it up. I can look at yarn and enjoy the colors and the textures.
This project that I am working on allows me to be able to use my skills as a baker and work with someone who knows fiber. I will not give out too many details, but I am working with someone who knows fiber and will be providing recipes inspired by fiber colors and fiber types. I hope to have more details for you soon, and to be able to share more of my upcoming excitement of this project. Until then, I hope all of you are enjoying some holiday knitting and spinning time to knit for yourselves or whatever projects have caught your fancy!
